- 5. Best Competitive Grand Round in Pediatrics
Submissions. Two Senior Residents from an institution will present a Grand Round on interesting case/cases. There will be two awards, Rs. 25,000 for the 1st award and Rs. 20,000 for the 2ndaward.
- Grants for Carrying out Research for Postgraduate MD or DM/DrNB Thesis in Pediatrics in India
The grant can be used for the purchase of kits, reagents &chemicals and conducting laboratory tests & investigations. The application must be forwarded by the thesis guide. Six grants of upto a maximum Rs. 75,000 each are available in a year.
- Grants for Training of Faculty/Assistant Professors in India
- Travel Grant for Attending Medical Conferences to Present a Paper in India
Eligible to apply. Total grant not to exceed Rs. 40,000 per candidate.
- Pediatric Medical Camps in Rural Areas for Improving Child Health

Nominations are invited for the Dr. K.C. Chaudhuri & Dr. Amala ChaudhuriLifetime Achievement Award and Dr. I.C. Verma Excellence Award for 2025. Nominations submitted in previous years will have to be submitted again.
Dr. K.C. Chaudhuri & Dr. Amala Chaudhuri Lifetime Achievement Award is given in the honor of Dr. K.C. Chaudhuri, the first Pediatrician in Indiaand Dr. Amala Chaudhuri, who were the Founder Editors of the Indian Journal of Pediatrics. This award was introduced in 2008 and is given to a pediatrician who has contributed significantly in the field of academics, research and patient care (in India or abroad). The oration award consists of a Cash prize of Rs. 25,000, Plaque, and a Citation certificate.

The guidelines for the award are as follows:
- Presented to a Senior Pediatrician of Indian origin who is either working in India or has made significant contributions to the advancement of Pediatrics in India.
- The letter of nomination/application should include a full curriculum vitae of the nominee/applicant.
- The letter of the nomination/application must highlight the candidates’ contributions in Pediatrics for which he/she isto be recognized.
- Selection will be by the Board of Trustees of Dr. K.C. Chaudhuri Foundation after discussion of all the nominations. The Board of Trustees may nominate any senior pediatrician for this award who has made significant contributions to pediatrics even if his/her nomination has not been received.
- The award will be presented inOctober 2025. The recipient will be invited to deliver an oration at the meeting.
- The award is subject to the condition that the candidate should come personally to make a It is essential that the oration is published in IJP and thus, has to be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the oration.
- Travel within India and stay in Delhi will be covered by IJP.

Applications are invited from postgraduates doing research for thesis in pediatrics or pediatric super- specialties for financial support to help them carry out research for their thesis. This scheme is to support postgraduates from India only. The applicant should submit a certificate that the thesis has been approved by the scientific committee and cleared by the ethics committee of the host institution. The application must be forwarded by the thesis guide. The grant can be used for the purchase of kits, reagents & chemicals and conducting laboratory tests & investigations. The guide / supervisor has to give a commitment that a utilization certificate will be submitted.
Six grants of up to a maximum of Rs. 75,000 each, are available for year 2025. Submitted applications will be assessed three times a year.

Applications are invited from young Faculty members (Assistant Professors/ Lecturers) who are interested in getting short term training (4-6 weeks) in any Pediatric specialty from any institution in India. This scheme will cover training of young faculty members from India only. The applicant should submit a certificate that the host institution has agreed to provide him/her the training.
The objective of scheme is to help young faculty members from teaching institutions to get initiated in a Pediatric sub-speciality or learn specific laboratory skills to enhance pediatric research. The subject of training should be in resonance with needs of the institution and national priorities in child health.
Four grants of maximum Rs. 75,000 each are available annually. The grant will be released on submission of expenditure details, bills, photos, etc. It covers Travel fare—(rail/air economy class), Fees charged by the training institution, and Daily allowance for A, B, C cities, as applicable.
The applications should reach us 6 months before the proposed date of start of the training. lncomplete applications will not be considered and will be summarily rejected. It is mandatory to submit a report on the outcome of the training. The schedule of application, assessment dates and communication of the results will be as follows:

- Grant will cover journey to and fro, registration fee and limited local expenses. The grant will not exceed 40,000 per candidate.
- Applicant should submit a copy of the research paper to be presented at the conference, along with the letter of acceptance by the conference organizers.
- The application should be forwarded through the Head of the Department along with a letter certifying that the applicant is not being supported by any other source.
- Applicant should explain in 200 words why he/she deserves the grant.
- The awardee should later on submit a copy of bills and attendance certificate.
- The awardee should acknowledge at the end of his presentation that it has been partly supported by IJP and a report on the same should be submitted.

The Indian Journal of Pediatrics supports Medical Camps for children in smaller towns and /or rural areas. If you would like to conduct a medical camp for children, we would be happy to provide financial aid. Five grants are available: 1-2 after every four months. The application should reach us at least 6 months before the scheduled date of event. lncomplete applications will not be considered and will be summarily rejected.

A banner stating that the camp has been supported by IJP should be placed at the site. It is mandatory to submit a report of the camp supported. A representative from IJP will be attending the camp.
Preference will be given to camps in rural or underprivileged areas.
